Vaughan Mall Project

The City of Portsmouth NH started urgent work in Vaughan Mall to replace the sewer, stormwater, and water lines due to the deteriorating sewer line on September 2, 2025 and will continue through early December. On completion, the intention is to apply temporary asphalt paving for the winter.

A pre-construction meeting for the project was held August 20, 2025. Terrence Parker, ASLA from Terra Firma Landscape Architecture, provided some initial design thoughts for the restoration of Vaughan Mall at the meeting and collected public input on those designs so the City can move towards a final design plan.
