Vaughan Mall Project
The City of Portsmouth NH starts urgent work in Vaughan Mall to replace the sewer, stormwater, and water lines due to the deteriorating sewer line. Work will begin on September 1, 2025 and continue through early December. On completion, the intention is to apply temporary asphalt paving for the winter.
A public information meeting is scheduled for Monday, July 7, 2025 in the Levenson Room at Portsmouth Public Library (175 Parrott Avenue) at 6 pm to discuss the redesign of Vaughan Mall. Members of the public who wish to participate by Zoom must register in advance.
Terrence Parker, ASLA from Terra Firma Landscape Architecture, will provide initial design thoughts for the restoration of Vaughan Mall at the meeting and collect public input on those designs so the City can move towards a final design plan.
