2025 Tax Bills

Due Dates: January 29, 2026 and June 1, 2026

  • The 2025 Property Tax Rate is set at $11.51 per thousand
  • The tax bills are due in two installments
    • The first installment tax bills will be mailed and available online on December 24, 2025
    • The second install tax bills were mailed on April 21, 2026 and are available on line.  The due date is June 1, 2026

Mission Statement

  • The purpose of the Tax Collection Office is to assure safe and accurate collection and timely deposit of City monies while serving customers in a professional and courteous manner.
  • To facilitate tax billing and payments, vehicle registrations, and water/sewer payments.
  • To provide accurate and timely information to Portsmouth’s residents and taxpayers regarding property taxes, vehicle registrations, and payments to the City.
