While crews are consistently on the streets managing winter cleanup operations, the City has over 3,000 catch basins and almost 2,000 hydrants that require regular maintenance. Very quickly leaves, snow, debris, and litter can block catch basins and stop rainwater from properly draining, and quick temperature drops and snowfall can leave a hydrant buried in frozen snow.

The December 20th Planning Board meeting will include a review and adoption of the Capital Improvement Plan (CIP). The Planning Board will vote to adopt the CIP and submit it to the City Council. The CIP sets forth a six-year schedule and financing strategy to accomplish necessary public improvements and meet infrastructure needs.
