Islington Street Overnight Water Main Work begins Monday
On Monday, July 1st, overnight work on the water system will occur from approximately 4:30 PM to 7:00 AM Tuesday morning on Islington Street. Two crews will be working near the intersections of Jewell Court and Frenchman's Lane. Excavation of the water main at these locations will begin at approximately 6:00 PM in preparation to shut the water main down sometime after 11:15 PM. Despite the cool and wet weather pattern we have been experiencing in Southern New Hampshire, this area continues to have below normal precipitation. Precipitation since December 2018 is only 65% of normal. However, the cooler weather has resulted in lower than normal irrigation and water demands in our system. Therefore, there are currently no water restrictions in place.
