With the Tall Ships in port this month, you won’t want to miss this presentation and performance by Carol Busby featuring 5 historical women pirates from both near and far!

The Portsmouth Athenaeum, Portsmouth NH 400, the Friends of the South End, and the Citywide Neighborhood Committee are collaborating on a Historic House Plaque Program for 2023! 

The owners of any house, no matter the age or location in Portsmouth, can research the origins of their home and complete the application for approval to install a plaque that has been pre-approved by the City’s Historic District Commission.

We are so excited to be joined by the Portsmouth Police, Fire, and Public Works Department as well as the USPS for this special Community Touch-A-Truck event to conclude our 2022 Summer Reading Program! Check out police vehicles, a fire truck, various public works vehicles and meet some of our community's helpful workers! This event will take place in the big parking lot between the library and the middle school.  Children must be accompanied by an adult at all times for safety.
