The City of Portsmouth Department of Public Works has implemented this application for the submission of annual Stormwater Control Measure (SCM) Inspection and Maintenance Reports. 

Please note, there is no fee associated with this application.

The Inspection & Maintenance (I&M) report for properties must be submitted through this portal no later than January 30th of each year.

Background

Per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) are widely used chemical compounds that persist in the environment and are associated with various health issues. Several types of PFAS compounds are commonly detected in wastewater that enters treatment facilities through the sewer collection system.

Construction on the Contract One Sewer Rehabilitation Project began Wednesday, March 18. The Sanitary Sewer System Rehabilitation and Improvements – Contract 1 project is required by the City’s Consent Decree with the United Stated Environmental Protection Agency. The purpose of the project is to remove Inflow and Infiltration (I/I) in the City’s sewer collection system. I/I is when stormwater and groundwater enter the sewer collection system through deterioration in the sewer pipes or manholes.
