In April of 2009 the City of Portsmouth Recreation Board, at the request of the City Council, completed the process of selecting a consultant team to conduct a Comprehensive Recreation Needs Study for the City of Portsmouth recreation fields and facilities. In early May of 2009 a consultant team lead by The Architectural Team, Inc. and including Barker Rinker Seacat Architecture, the Copley Wolff Design Group, Ballard*King & Associates and Water Technology, Inc.

RESIDENT STATUS

Residency is defined to mean a person's place of abode or domicile. That place designated by a person as his principle place of physical presence for the indefinite future to the exclusion of all others.

• $25 cancellation fee for all summer camps
• No Refunds past May 15

The Recreation Board assists the Recreation Department in planning a citywide recreation program. The Board advises the City Manager and City Council in regard to recreational needs. (10 members, 3-year terms).
