City of Continues Mosquito & Tick Control Program
June 25, 2025As the Seacoast experiences wet conditions conducive to the proliferation of mosquitoes, the City of Portsmouth is continuing its annual mosquito control program, active since April. The program includes larval monitoring and the application of larvicide in identified risk areas, such as wetlands and salt marshes. The City’s consultant Dragon Mosquito Control, Inc.

Criminal Threatening
June 18, 2025On 06/15/2025 at around 7:00pm, Portsmouth police officers and K9 Frankie responded to the parking lot of Dunkin’ Donuts located at 802 Lafayette Rd. for a report of a criminal threatening with a knife. Initial information was that there was an altercation which resulted in a male threatening another male with a knife. Units quickly arrived in the area, but the suspect had fled. Officers subsequently located the male suspect nearby who was identified as David Wright (age 52) of Portsmouth, NH.
