City Clerk's Office Now Issuing 2025 Dog Licenses
April 1, 2025As required by State law, all dogs residing in the City of Portsmouth must be licensed annually. Before the license can be issued, the dog must be properly vaccinated against rabies. Licenses are valid April to April.
City Construction Season Resumes April 7, 2025

City's Mosquito Control Program Monitoring Starts April 7, 2025
March 25, 2025The City of Portsmouth’s Mosquito Control Program begins monitoring on April 7, 2025. The City has contracted with Dragon Mosquito Control, Inc. to check swamps, salt marshes, woodland pools, ditches, catch basins and other shallow, stagnant water for mosquito larvae.
