Exit 7 southbound onto I-95 from Market Street will be closed through January 30, 2026 for construction related to the soundwall barrier project. Edmond and Rockingham Avenues will be cleared in the following two weeks.

Work to complete the soundwall/privacy fence on the section of I-95 southbound near New Franklin School starts on January 26, 2026 (weather permitting) and is expected to be completed by March 15, 2026. 

The Tree Grant Program is designed to help the City preserve its “Tree City” canopy in a creative way. Often, city trees must be removed when they are damaged or risk entanglement in power lines or are encroaching on the right of way.
