This annual art exhibit will feature a wide array of stunning creations showcasing the innovative, inspiring minds of our Visual Arts students from grades K-8. The Portsmouth Public Library will come alive with art from Dondero, Little Harbour, New Franklin and the Portsmouth Middle School. Come feast your eyes on this dazzling display from March 8 through April 21, and don't miss the Artist Reception on Sunday March 9 from 2-4 PM!
Summer of Soul

This music documentary explores and reclaims the legacy of the six-week 1969 Harlem Cultural Festival. It features unpublished footage of performances by Nina Simone, B.B. King, Sly and the Family Stone, Stevie Wonder, and Gladys Knight & the Pips at Mount Morris Park (now Marcus Garvey Park).

Join us at Portsmouth Music and Arts Center (PMAC) for an enjoyable and relaxing guitar performance by David Newsam. Mr. Newsam is a Berklee College of Music graduate and completed his studies in the Modern American Music program at Longy School of Music in Cambridge. He is an Associate Professor in Berklee's guitar department. He teaches jazz, classical, and flamenco guitar. He was a senior lecturer in music at Dartmouth College in Hanover, NH, where he taught guitar and jazz improvisation.

We craft, ewe craft, we all craft together! Join library staff and fellow crafters on the third Friday of each month from 5 - 6:30 PM for an after-hours, drop-in, open crafting time. All crafts and experience levels welcome, from knitting and crochet to rug hooking and drawing, beginners to master crafters.
