To become a Police Officer with the Portsmouth Police Department you must undergo the recruitment and hiring process which includes an examination, physical agility test, and more.
Finance Office
The office handles financial operations of the Portsmouth Police Department, including developing and managing the department's annual budget. The team also oversees purchasing, payroll, scheduling, grants, billing and financial tracking for special assignments and false alarms. In addition, they help manage department facilities, monitor attendance, analyze data, and support contract negotiations from a financial perspective.
