Portsmouth Police Department Facility

In April 2022 the Portsmouth City Council voted unanimously to authorize $1.4 million to fund “the first part of an intensive public process to understand what is needed for a modern community police facility.” An additional $2.8 million was allocated in the FY23 budget to update the 2014 programmatic needs study and then evaluate facility options including renovation and potential sites for a new facility with an intention to bring forward recommended options.
