Public Works staff plan to perform annual stormwater treatment structure cleaning and maintenance off Parrot Avenue tomorrow from 7 AM to 1 PM.  To facilitate the work, staff plans to close the Mill Pond tide gate through the duration of the work period to ensure tidal water doesn’t back flow into the stormwater treatment devices.  Residents will see an extended low tide in the pond due to keeping the gate closed.

Staff does not expect any odor issues but there is an increased potential due to the warm temperatures in combination with extended low tide in the pond.
