Project Overview
The Essex and Hampshire Area Drainage Repair Project will replace the current failing drainage system. A preliminary public meeting was held on-site July 9, 2024. Representatives from the City of Portsmouth and the project design firm CMA gave a brief project overview, walked the current drainage system as well as the proposed new system and addressed questions and concerns property owners had. The plan is to correct DOT drainage by clearing a replacing the drain pipe on Hampshire. A future public meeting will be held for all residents within the area once a design is finalized.
The project is currently on hold while the City resolves a private property drainage issue.
