2026 Independence Day Municipal Closings and Service Adjustments

The following City facilities and services will be impacted for the Independence Day Holiday for 2026.

Library

Closed, Friday, July 3 - Sunday, July 5

Recreation

The Indoor Pool closes at 1 pm on Friday, July 3. Saturday, July 4 the Outdoor Pool is open 11 am -  4 pm, all other facilities except the Prescott Park Marina and Peirce Island Boat Launch are closed

City Hall

Closed Thursday, July 2 at 1 pm and will reopen at 8 am on Monday, July 6

Trash & Recycling Pick up

Due to the predicted high heat, solid waste pickup will begin at 5 am on Wednesday, July 1 and Thursday, July 2. There will be no pickup on Friday, July 3. It will be combined with Thursday, July 2. There is no yard waste pick up on Thursday or Friday. The Recycling Center will be open on Saturday, July 4 from 8 am to 2 pm
