Mayor McEachern Announces Winners of Annual Holiday Lights Contest 

The Citywide Neighborhood Committee Holiday Lights Contest once again received enthusiastic support from Portsmouth residents participating in this annual tradition. Mayor Deaglan McEachern announced the winners at the December 22nd City Council meeting and has invited them to attend the January 20, 2026 City Council meeting for public recognition. 

The winners are:  

• Kids Choice Winner: 580 F W Hartford Drive, Matt and Nicole Beyer
• Kids Choice Runner-up: 170 F W Hartford Drive, Goldstein Family
• Creative Winner: 520 F W Hartford Drive, Cathy LaFata and Liz Rutman
• Creative Runner-up: 3 Sanderling Way, Stephanie Blandina
• Traditional Winner: 752 South Street, the Manganos
• Tied for Traditional Runner-up: 660 Middle Street, Chris Polizzotto and 114 Cabot Street, Donna Figler 

“Thank you to everyone who entered and, especially, thanks to the Citywide Neighborhood Committee for making the Holiday Lights Contest an annual tradition,” said Mayor McEachern. “Portsmouth is well known as one of the best holiday towns in America and the Holiday Lights Contest is one of the many reasons why.” 

Members of the Citywide Neighborhood Committee and resident families judged the entries. The Committee created a map of the Holiday Lights Contest entries so that residents can tour the lighted locations route by car, with winners marked by green snowflakes: portsnh.co/2025_Holiday_Lights_Winners.  

An anonymous donor pledged to donate a total of $250 to Gather in recognition of the participants in the Holiday Lights Contest.
