City to Hold Peverly Hill Road Improvement Project Public Use and Necessity Hearing on October 14, 2021
September 28, 2021The Portsmouth City Council will conduct an onsite review and then hold a public hearing in City Hall Council Chambers on Thursday, October 14, 2021 for the purpose of receiving evidence and hearing public comment relative to the layout of the Peverly Hill Road Improvement Project and the property acquisitions (permanent and temporary easements) to make that project successful.

Robbery
September 20, 2021On 09/19/2021, the Portsmouth Police Department responded to 565 Islington St, Sunoco Gas Station, for a report of a robbery. At approximately 2:40 pm, a male entered the store and walked behind the counter demanding money. The male immediately began to assault the clerk before leaving the store. The clerk sustained minor injuries but was not transported to the hospital.
