City of Portsmouth Arts & Nonprofits Committee Launches Community Survey to Inform Cultural Plan
August 29, 2023Earlier this year the Portsmouth Arts and Nonprofits Committee formed a subcommittee tasked with creating a new Cultural Plan for the City. The subcommittee has just launched a community-wide survey to collect feedback from residents, businesses, and arts/culture/historic site audiences.
Assault Investigation at Portsmouth Parking Garage
August 26, 2023At 12:52 A.M. on the morning of August 26th, 2023, the Portsmouth Police Department responded to an assault involving multiple people in the area of Hanover Street. The assault occurred between the Portsmouth Gaslight and the Portsmouth Parking Garage on Hanover Street.

City of Portsmouth Reminds Drivers to Watch for School Crossings as Schools Open Next Week
August 24, 2023Portsmouth Public School grades 1 through 9 start a new school year on Tuesday, August 29 and grades 10 through 12 start on Wednesday, August 30. Drivers are urged to be extra cautious on City streets and to watch for crossing guards at key locations around the City.
