Criminal Threatening, Reckless Conduct and Endangering the Welfare of a Child

On April 13, 2021 at 11:57 pm, Portsmouth Police Patrol Officers were dispatched to a Ledgewood Drive apartment for the report of a person being threatened with a gun, which was subsequently fired by the suspect. Detectives processed the scene and determined two rounds had been fired that exited through the apartment window. Present in the room when the gun was fired was the victim and two minor children. No injuries were sustained by the victims.

Sergeant Promotion

On Thursday, March 4th, 2021, the Board of Police Commissioners voted unanimously to promote Officer Jordan Wells to the rank of Sergeant assigned to the Patrol Division. His appointment became effective on April 4th, 2021.

City Council Plans Site Visit to Bartlett Street Project on April 10 at 10 am

Members of the Portsmouth City Council are planning a site visit on Saturday, April 10 starting at 10 am to discuss a project proposed for 105 Bartlett Street. Members of the public who are interested in participating are welcome to join the Council at Paul McEachern Park at the end of Mill Pond Way. Parking is extremely limited onsite, so residents are encouraged to walk to the park.

McIntyre Project Subcommittee Plans Final Public Design Review on April 20

The McIntyre Subcommittee with assistance from Boston-based urban design firm Principle Group, invite residents to participate in a final round of design review on Tuesday, April 20, 2021 from 6 to 8 pm, via Zoom. The intent of the session is to deliberate on the opportunity for new public space to enjoy at McIntyre. Principle Group will present the final draft McIntyre project sketch, developed using community input gathered over the past four months.
