City of Portsmouth DPW Set to Start Seasonal Islington Street Corridor Project Work
March 18, 2021The City of Portsmouth Department of Public Works is preparing to commence seasonal construction on the Islington Street Corridor Project, Phase 1B. This work will continue sewer-water line separation between Albany Street and Dover Street. Work is expected to take most of the construction season and be completed in October.

McIntyre Project Committee Seeks Public Input on Designs
March 11, 2021The McIntyre Subcommittee with assistance from Boston-based urban design firm Principle Group, invite residents to participate in a second round of design review to deliberate on the opportunity for new public space to enjoy at McIntyre. Sergeant Promotion
March 8, 2021On Thursday, March 4th, 2021, the Board of Police Commissioners voted unanimously to promote Officer Brian Houde to the rank of Sergeant assigned to the Patrol Division.
Sgt. Houde is currently approaching his 16th year as a police officer. He began his career as a patrol officer with the Berwick Maine Police Department from 2005-2009. He joined the Portsmouth Police Department in 2009 where he has worked the last 12 years, serving the community in the Patrol Division.
