FREE PRESCOTT PARK GARDEN TOURS ON FRIDAYS IN AUGUST
August 12, 2019The garden tours are offered at 11 am and 2 pm on August 16 and 23. The one-hour tour starts at the Liberty Pole on Marcy Street and then explores the extensive garden beds of the South Lawn and the formal garden planted around the anchor at the end of Prescott Park closest to the river.
WELFARE DEPARTMENT BACK-TO-SCHOOL SUPPLIES DRIVE!
August 12, 2019Since 2006, the Welfare Department has been conducting a back to school drive to assure that every child in the City of Portsmouth has the tools they need to begin a successful school year. The first day of school is just a few short weeks away. We are always in need of sturdy backpacks for older kids. Currently, we are low on markers, pencil sharpeners, and dividers for three ring binders. Thank you for your generosity.

July 26, 2019Portsmouth, NH - The City of Portsmouth, New Hampshire will begin conducting a dye tracing study on Monday, July 29, 2019. The New Hampshire Department of Environmental Services (DES) will assist in the collection of data associated with the dye study. The study will continue into Tuesday, July 30, 2019.
