McIntyre Panels Examine Transportation, Parking, and Partnership
March 9, 2018The City of Portsmouth continued the second stage of the McIntyre public input process on Tuesday, March 6th, with two panel discussions focused on transportation and parking, and the elements of a public-private partnership.
The McIntyre Blue Ribbon Steering Committee is hosting these in-depth discussions, which dive into topics that citizens have highlighted as important to the future of the Thomas J. McIntyre Federal Building and property.
Council Increases Income For Elderly and Disabled Exemptions: Deadline to File April 15, 2018
March 8, 2018The City Council recently voted to increase the income limits for both the elderly and disabled exemptions. Income limits will increase from $40,504 to $41,314 for single taxpayers and from $55,693 to $56,807 for married couples. Total assets for both exemptions will remain at $175,000 whether single or married.

March 2, 2018Due to current storm forecasts of extreme tidal and weather conditions for March 2nd, City staff advises residents to be mindful of anticipated flood conditions and potential road closures. Portions of Bridge Street to remain closed in February
February 5, 2018Portions of Bridge Street, originally scheduled to reopen in January, will continue be closed in order to complete sewer and utility work associated with the construction of the Foundry Place parking garage. This area spans Hill Street and Deer Street, with closures on the intersection of Deer and Bridge Streets, and the end of Hill Street heading into Bridge Street.
McIntyre Federal Building Public Input Process to Begin on February 3rd
February 3, 2018The City of Portsmouth’s McIntyre Steering Committee has met and established the initial “Stage 1” steps in the public input process for the future of the McIntyre Federal Building site. Two Informational and Idea Gathering Sessions with the public will be sponsored by the McIntyre Steering Committee. The first will be held on Saturday, February 3rd from 9:00 a.m. to noon in City Council Chambers at Portsmouth City Hall, and include dialogue sessions in coordination with Portsmouth Listens. The second will be held on Thursday, February 8th from 6:30 p.m.
