COAST announces public meetings to review new bus service concept for 2020
May 13, 2019COAST has been taking a fresh look at the best way to meet the region's changing transportation needs, and every voice is needed at the table. Public transit design impacts businesses, employers, workers, agencies, educators, students, visitors, and more. After conducting a survey in late 2018, COAST has created a service concept for 2020 that they are seeking further thoughts on. COAST is encouraging the public to attend one of several meetings in the seacoast area as they work to redesign their services for 2020.
Construction of Middle Street sidewalks beginning week of May 6th
May 6, 2019The Spinney Road sidewalks are now complete, and crews are beginning work on Middle Street the week of May 6th. As part of this project the City is also replacing the sidewalks on Middle Street from Aldrich Road to Willard Ave. The existing sidewalk will be replaced with a concrete surface.

May 1, 2019To celebrate Bike Month, Mayor Jack Blalock will lead a bicycle ride beginning at City Hall at noon on Wednesday, May 8th. The public is encouraged to join him, City officials and staff for a bicycle tour of recent and planned bicycle and pedestrian improvements.
Public Works announces changes to yard waste collection
May 1, 2019Due to new protocols made by the City’s vendor, Public Works is asking the community to adjust how they organize brush and yard waste for collection. Moving forward, sticks and brush should be tied and organized separately from bagged leaves (yard waste). Residents will notice that Public Works crews will first collect yard waste, and then do a return route to collect the curbside tied brush. Public Works appreciates your cooperation!
