​CITYWIDE NEIGHBORHOOD COMMITTEE HOSTS WARD 3 FORUM – SEPTEMBER 28, 2022

On Wednesday, September 28, 2022, the Citywide Neighborhood Committee hosts a panel of Portsmouth city officials to discuss projects and issues specific to the Ward 3 neighborhood. The meeting is scheduled for 6:30 P.M, in-person at the Senior Activity Center located at 125 Cottage Street in Room 1 (first room on the right). The meeting is open to residents of Ward 3 as well as to the public at large.

The Ward 3 Forum is part of a series of “Neighborhood Outreach Forums” hosted by the Citywide Neighborhood Committee. Additional Ward Forums are being planned.

City of Portsmouth Adopts New Communications App – “Smart 911” Replaces CodeRED

The Portsmouth Police Department is rolling out a new emergency messaging system throughout the city to replace the CodeRED system used for emergency alerts and notices such as snow parking bans.

Anyone wishing to continue to receive notices such as snow parking bans and other alerts must subscribe to the new Smart 911 system. Accounts cannot be automatically transferred. Go to Smart911 to subscribe to the new system.

Parks & Greenery Offers Prescott Park Garden Tours

City DPW Joins UNH/NH DHHS Covid-19 Wastewater Surveillance Program

June 30, 2022

In September 2020, the CDC launched the National Wastewater Surveillance System (NWSS) to coordinate and build the nation’s capacity to track the presence of the virus that causes COVID-19, in wastewater samples collected across the country. Sampling efforts around the country have determined that by measuring COVID-19 in wastewater on a routine basis, allows predictive trends to be observed.
