City RESCHEDULES Halloween Trick or Treat Hours to WED Oct 29

The City of Portsmouth announced that trick-or-treat will be rescheduled due to the impending storm on Thursday, October 30. The new trick-or-treat hours are 5 to 8 pm on Wednesday, October 29, 2025. The Portsmouth Police Department reminds everyone to watch out for trick-or-treaters and the increased traffic on the roads that evening.  

Other Halloween events this week include: 

Senior Activity Center Halloween Party: On Friday, October 31 from 3 to 4 pm at the Senior Activity Center (125 Cottage Street). Come dressed in costume, festive Halloween, or Autumn attire. Entertainer Rockin’ Randy Hawkes will play fun tunes. The Senior Activity Center will provide treats. Ages 50+ welcome. This event is free; no reservation is required. 

The independently organized Portsmouth Halloween Parade takes place on Friday, October 31, 2025 at 7 pm, rain or shine. For details, go to their website: PortsmouthHalloweenParade.org.
