Pride Month Kickoff and Flag Raising

For the past several years, the Mayor of Portsmouth has expressed the commitment of the Portsmouth City Council to its goal “to welcome and support diversity in the workplace and community” with a Proclamation of “Pride Month in Portsmouth.”

On Sunday, June 1, 2025, Congressional District 1 Representative Chris Pappas (D-NH) will join Mayor Deaglan McEachern for remarks and the reading of the Proclamation in a short ceremony that concludes with the raising of the LGBTQ+ Pride rainbow flag.
