Sign ups for Camp Funstuff 2026 begin Monday, February 2, 2026 at 9:00am for residents. Tuesday, February 17 for nonresidents.
Portsmouth Recreation Camp FunStuff: Grades 1-5 Exciting experiences and adventures await at Camp Funstuff. Eight individual weeks of games, sports, arts & crafts, special presenters, swimming at the outdoor pool, and field trips.

The last day to withdraw and receive a refund from a week of Camp Funstuff will be Friday, May 15, 2026. After May 16, refunds will only be granted to participants if the vacancy can be filled, minus a $25 withdrawal fee.

New! Portsmouth Recreation's Camp FUNSTUFF Junior: Grade K
Is your young camper ready to try Camp FunStuff? We are excited to announce a new group within our classic camp FunStuff. Campers will have similar experiences as the older campers, but with slightly different activities, field trips, and staff to acclimate them to the summer camp world in an age-appropriate environment. For rising kindergarteners only; must be age 5 by the first day of camp.

Portsmouth Recreation's Teen Explorers Camp: Grades 6-8
Campers will participate in lots of outdoor games & fun activities, as well as take field trips to local parks, beaches, hikes, and attractions. Monday-Thursday. No camp on Fridays. Six individual weeks of fun! Field trips Monday-Wednesday and in-town adventures on Thursday.

Seacoast Technology LEGO Robotics Camp
LEGO’s are the building bricks of fun in these educational camps. Children enrolled in both the morning & afternoon sessions can stay for a supervised lunch (lunch not provided).
- Morning Sessions: Monday - Thursday, July 27 - 30. 9:00 - 11:45am
- Entering Grades 1-5: LEGO Robotics and Engineering
- Using the latest LEGO robotics technology participants will have an opportunity to explore the amazing world of LEGO(R) robotics and engineering. We will learn about gears, circuits, and computer programming as we design, build, and program a variety of different robotics and engineering projects. Over 50 different projects are available including motorized cars and walkers, remote-controlled tanks, and amusement park rides. Projects are available for all skill levels. Note: Participants DO NOT take projects home.
- Entering Grades 3-6: Video Game Designer
- Stop playing video games and start creating them! In this introductory class participants will learn how to program and create their very own video games. Using GameMaker software we will learn how to create sprites, objects, levels, backgrounds, sound effects and much more as we create several games that can be shared with family and friends! We'll create a multi-level, customized adventure game complete with zombies, potions, coins, trap doors, and so much more! Participants will need a flash drive in order to save and take their games home with them.

- Entering Grades 1-5: LEGO Robotics Master
- Our popular LEGO robotics summer program returns! Participants will have access to thousands of specialized LEGO bricks including motors, sensors, and so much more! Then, using a laptop and kid-friendly LEGO WeDo 2.0 software, teams will create programs to bring their creations to life! Daily challenges will include amusement park rides, vehicles, animals, and much more! Many new projects will be available for returning LEGO Masters! This is a can’t miss one-of-a-kind program for LEGO fans! Note: Participants do not get to take LEGO projects home.
- Entering Grades 3-6: Minecraft Coding Club
- Our popular Minecraft Coding workshop returns. Using exclusive content only available in Minecraft Education, participants will explore the fundamentals of coding within the Minecraft universe! Prerequisite: Participants should have played and have a basic understanding of Minecraft.

Chess Kidz Summer Camp
Offering students a fun, structured introduction to the world’s greatest game, Chess! Whether a child is brand new to chess or already playing tournaments, our camps offer a unique blend of instruction, gameplay, puzzles, and outdoor activities. Led by Coach Jake and the ChessKidz team, each day is full of critical thinking, creative challenges, and good old-fashioned fun. Groups are split by skill level to ensure every child is challenged and engaged. Grades 1 - 8.

Snapology STEM Camps & Workshops
Robots Rule Week: Robots, robots and more robots! From Prehistoric Creatures to Mega Machines, this week is packed with Snapology's greatest Robotic Programs. Ages 6-12

Movie Magic Week: Put on your filmmaker's cap and get ready to celebrate the world of movies! Campers will work in teams to produce their very own stop-motion movies featuring all their favorite minifigures! Seacoast United Soccer Summer Camps
Grassroots: Ages 3-5: Seacoast United Soccer Club, Grassroots Program is an introduction into the amazing sport of soccer in an interactive, fun and structured environment. In each session, the main objective is to teach while having fun. The overall theme of the Grassroots Program is to create a place that the players relate fun with the skills and activities that they are a part of, in turn providing a framework for more soccer technique acquisition as the player gets older.

Summer Skills: Ages 6-14: The Summer Skills Camps and Clinics are a fantastic way for players from 6 to 14 years old to be introduced to the Seacoast United Soccer Club’s fun developmental approach to the game of soccer. The professional, dedicated full time coaching staff will offer sessions full of competitive yet fun technical challenges and game play. Players thrive within the atmosphere created by all SUSC staff allowing them to develop their love for the game while improving important basic and more advanced skills.

New Logic's Marine Science Camp
Our hands-on feet-wet learning methodology introduces our attendees to experience what it is like to be a marine scientist out in the field. Seining, water quality testing, data collection, and many hands-on activities are taught by real scientists to provide the most memorable educational experience.

Cheerleading Camp
Portsmouth-Oyster River High School Varsity Cheerleading coaches and athletes are bringing you CHEER CAMP! All experience levels welcome, including those interested in trying cheerleading for the first time. Cheer day will include a dynamic warm up and stretching routine, cheer motions, game cheers and jumps. There will also be the opportunity to learn how to stunt and tumble, with a focus on safety. Fee includes a t-shirt. Scholarships available if needed.

Portsmouth Youth Field Hockey Camp
Coaches from Portsmouth High & Middle School bring you all things Field Hockey! Perfect summer camp for those who are familiar with the sport of field hockey and those who are picking up a stick for the first time. Open to all who have a passion for learning the game of field hockey.

Skateboarding Camp
Ages 6-14
During camp, skaters will learn basic skateboard terminology, safety, and beginner to more advanced tricks, dependent upon skill level. Students will work on riding, turning, stopping, dropping in, and learn the science and process behind ollies, kickflips, and other tricks. Park etiquette will also be covered. Students will paint a skateboard deck that they can take with them at the end of camp.
- Equipment is not provided. Participants will need a skateboard, helmet, and pads.
Please bring a snack and water. Wear sunscreen when appropriate. Chris Rice Scholarship available for fees and equipment.
