Little Free Essentials
Free for all!
The Portsmouth Public Library is proud to offer Little Free Essentials in the Library beginning Summer 2025. The same way our Little Free Libraries encourage you to take a free book, our Little Free Essentials is a space for you to grab necessary care items with no charge!
- Everyone is welcome to take what they need
- These items are free to take
- All are new and clean
- May be taken privately and without staff interaction
- Most of the items have been donated by our partner and community members
Visit our Little Free Essentials shelves on the backside of the newspaper racks on the 2nd floor. Ask our library staff if you need any assistance!

Donations
Donations are always welcome! Please donate only items found on the list.
Items need to be new and in their original packaging. Items can be dropped off at any of our library service desks or deposit NEW items into the marked box on the second floor near the elevator.
