Notary Services

The Portsmouth Public Library offers a free notary service on a basis of staff availability. 

Calling ahead at (603) 427-1540 ext. 1720 or emailing libinfo@portsmouthnh.gov is highly encouraged to ensure availability. All notary services are free of charge. 

What you will need to bring:

• Printed, completed documents.
  • Make sure the documents are not signed nor dated.
  • Need help printing? You can do it at the library! Print from home here.
• A valid form of identification:
  • Passport
  • Driver's license
  • Non-driver's license
  • Other government issued I.D
• All signers of the document must be present during the notarization.
  • If your document requires a witness, please bring one with you.
