Seacoast Mental Health Resources

It is easy to feel alone, but there are many people, organizations, and resources to help. Please refer to this list, or call or email the library for more information on resources that can support your needs.

  • Seacoast Mental Health is a non-profit state-designated community mental health center. They provide evaluations and treatment services to children, adolescents and families, adults, and the elderly in their area regardless of their ability to pay. Call 603-431-6703.
  • SOS Recovery Community Organization reduces stigma and harm associated with substance misuse by providing safe space and peer-based supports for people in all stages of recovery. They are answering the phones Mon-Sat from 9 am to 8 pm and on Sunday, noon to 4 pm. Call 603-841-2350.
  • The Doorway, NH’s substance-abuse treatment and recovery program, offers phone assistance during the week and teams with the statewide 2-1-1 system on weekends. Call 211 for more info.
  • Alcoholics Anonymous in New Hampshire is offering meetings by Zoom and other work-arounds, including relying on each group’s telephone hotline of other members. seacoastaa.org/meetings/
  • The NH Department of Health and Human Services is alert to greater concerns about domestic and child abuse when families are confined to close quarters and under stress. For more information, see this PDF from the Division of Children, Youth, & Families.
  • Seacoast Pathways' virtual clubhouse supports adults living with mental illness on their paths to recovery through a focus on health, wellness, employment-preparedness, and community fellowship. Visit seacoastpathways.org.
  • Haven NH aids the victims of domestic and sexual violence. Call their 24-Hour Confidential Support: 1-603-994-7233
