Summer Reading 2026

This year, the library is delighted to be offering Summer Reading Programs for all ages. This year's theme is Unearth A Story!
For adults, youth & teens, we will continue to use the online platform, Beanstack. You can register, log your reading or other activities, and see the rewards you've earned. Logging for the whole family is a breeze! If you used Beanstack for previous reading challenges you will only need to update your information. Find out more and sign up here.

Early Literacy Reading Challenge
Ages 0-5
Read, draw, sing, talk and play your way through literacy skills with our youngest challenge. 25 books of your choice and 25 literacy building activities earn you a totebag and a special summer reading patch. Participants may choose online tracking through Beanstack, old-fashioned paper challenges, or both!
Youth Summer Reading Challenge
Ages Kindergarten-5th grade
Read or listen to books to earn badges and beads. Read more to earn fancier beads and a variety of brag tags and build your own keychain or necklace throughout the summer! Visit Youth Services or contact the library to learn more!
Teen Summer Reading Program
6th - 12th grades
Log reading minutes to earn badges and prizes. For every 15 minutes read earn a virtual badge and a prize! Read more for fancier prizes throughout the summer! Visit Youth Services or contact the library to learn more.
Adult Summer Reading Program
18 years +
Adult patrons can win small prizes and a chance to win a raffle! Sign up to keep track of your activities. Activities include: Pin the Tail on the Dewey, attending a library program, reading a biography and more! Visit the Reference Desk on the second floor for more information!
