Ikenobo-Ikebana 2026

Ikenobo=-kebana Poster 2026

Ikenobo is a way to express one’s feelings with each individual flower or stem. A small variety of different styles has evolved during the 550 years of Ikenobo history. Each style has a distinctive character and is arranged with a particular form or pattern. Awareness of natural beauty allows the artist to approach the ideal beauty that Ikenobo seeks.

The event is sponsored by the Kittery Point Ikenobo chapter, one of hundreds affiliated with the Ikenobo headquarters in Kyoto, Japan. Our artists welcome you to view and embrace this centuries-old floral art form where they will share several different arrangement styles.

The exhibit is made possible through the efforts of members of the Kittery Point Ikenobo organization.
