End of Life Care In the Era of Covid-19

Please join Dr. Suzana Makowsi, chief of Palliative Care at Exeter Hospital, for an interactive discussion about end of life care in the era of COVID-19.

Having conversations with your doctor and loved ones about advance care planning is important at any stage, but the stakes are different for some, especially those at risk of developing COVID-19 complications.

Have you chosen a surrogate decision maker? Have you talked with them about what matters most to you? Are you aware of the option to stay home with hospice care should you contract COVID-19? In this presentation, Dr. Makowski will answer questions like, “Can I get care at home?” and “How do I know if I should go to the hospital?”

This will be an interactive Zoom presentation hosted by the Portsmouth Public Library and the Hospice Help Foundation, where this topic will be discussed and individual questions will be encouraged.
