Sidewalk Obstruction License

A sidewalk obstruction is defined as any table, chair, bench, or a-frame sign, clothing rack or mannequin, located on a City sidewalk. Please follow these steps to apply for a sidewalk obstruction, or to renew an already approved license.

1. Read City Ordinance Chapter 6, Article I — Encumbrance Permits and Licenses for Use of Public Property, 6.101 - 6.110 for permissible uses
2. Apply for a sidewalk obstruction license through our Permitting and Licensing portal (external website).
