During a Declared Parking Ban, residents are encouraged to park in the green-marked areas shown below or use the Flat Rate Parking option at the Hanover or Foundry Garages ($8 per exit). The flat rate is available from the time an Advanced Warning is issued until two hours after the Ban Cancellation notice.

Parking Garage Flat Rate Instructions

To receive the Flat Rate, residents must bring proof of residency and their payment (cash or credit) to the parking attendant before retrieving their vehicle. Automated payment devices cannot verify residency or apply the reduced rate, so residents seeking the flat rate must see the cashier.

Overnight Snow Load-Out Operations

Content

When there is heavy snow accumulation Public Works crews may conduct an overnight snow load-out in order to clear streets and sidewalks. All vehicles must be removed from the posted downtown City streets.

**Given the nature of load out operations, parking restriction times vary. Pay attention to the posted times on the street, they are what govern the parking restrictions.

This highlighted map indicates the affected streets where crews will be loading out snow in phases. Residents are eligible to park in the City garages starting at 5:30 pm on the scheduled Load-Out day. The Load-Out Parking Ban is anticipated to end at 8 am the following day. Residents will have until 10 am to move their vehicle out of the garage and receive the Flat rate. Flat rate parking fees apply (bring payment and proof of residency to the cashier to receive the resident flat rate discount).
