The Maple Syrup Makers is a inter-disciplinary, hands-on, real-world teaching experience. Students take part in the entire maple syrup making process, from tapping trees to our finished product. Students work with our neighboring elementary schools to teach the process to their 3rd Grade Teams, including how to tap their own trees at their school.
RJLA just hosted the first of an annual Maple Symposium, bringing other schools, vendors and hobbyist, helping to expand Maple programs into other schools at the K-12 and collegiate levels.
