Criminal Threatening

     On 06/15/2025 at around 7:00pm, Portsmouth police officers and K9 Frankie responded to the parking lot of Dunkin’ Donuts located at 802 Lafayette Rd. for a report of a criminal threatening with a knife. Initial information was that there was an altercation which resulted in a male threatening another male with a knife. Units quickly arrived in the area, but the suspect had fled. Officers subsequently located the male suspect nearby who was identified as David Wright (age 52) of Portsmouth, NH. 

Wright was safely taken into custody, booked and charged with the following: 

NH RSA 635:2 Criminal Trespass (Mis.)

NH RSA 644:2 Disorderly Conduct (Violation)

NH RSA 631:4(a) Criminal Threatening with a Deadly Weapon (Felony).

Wright was held and brought to the Rockingham County Jail with a next-day arraignment.

**Charges are not equivalent to guilt. A suspect is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law**
