Ice Skating Club at Portsmouth Middle School

Portsmouth Middle School is offering the after school ice skating club for the 10th consecutive year! Two separate 5-week sessions are available for sign up and start directly after school on Tuesday afternoons.  Session #1 starts on Tuesday, December 2nd and session #2 starts on Tuesday, January 20th.  Each participant receives a 40 minute skating lesson from a professional coach followed by 45 minutes of free skating.  Student participants walk to the Puddle Dock Pond outdoor skating rink from the middle school and are picked up each Tuesday at 5:30pm by a parent/guardian at the rink.  Enrollment paperwork is available in the main office and is based on the first forms to be returned back to the office.  Enrollment is limited to the first 20 skaters that sign up for each session.  The cost of the program is $105/student but scholarships are available if needed.

Important Notes:

  • Participants must be picked up by a parent/guardian at Puddle Dock Pond, promptly by 5:30 pm at the latest.  A parent/guardian must come into the Skating Center. Students are NOT allowed to walk home alone nor with a friend. Participants must be picked up at the rink by 5:30pm.
  • Students may sign up for only ONE session of Ice Skating Club in order to allow for more participation by other students
  • Students are permitted to bring their own skates if preferred.
